I would like to welcome all the new subscribers,
and a warm hello to all. Without you my efforts wouldn't have much
meaning and would be in vain.
Some of you may think you are in the twilight zone because the
computer tip looks familiar. I know, I know. They are familiar.... With
the change in name after the new domain, I want to get the basic tips
back into the newsletter for the purpose of getting them archived and
available for future new subscribers. Please allow me this little repeat.

I urge you to take advantage of this because I don't know how long I will be allowed you

I thank those of you who take the time out of your day to send me
email. Feedback is what helps me to know what areas you need or
want help and information with.
Though the major news media seems to focus on the tragedy of it all,
and pointing fingers. The real story is how the American citizens have
pulled together and extended a hand of help and a heart of compassion.

In The News - Intel ships dual core Xeon processors

As promised, Intel has announced it has begun shipments of
its dual core Xeon server processor. According to the
company, the new chips will increase the performance of a
typical single core dual processor server by up to 50 per
cent.
The new dual-core Intel Xeon processor now shipping runs at
2.80 GHz and is equipped with an 800 MHz system bus and 2
MB of Level 2 cache per core.
Moving up the scale, the Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 7000
codenamed 'Paxville' is promised within 60 days and is
expected to run at speeds of up to 3.0 GHz and includes a
new chipset, the Intel E8501, to support an 800 MHz system
bus. The platform will also include a dual, independent
system bus, DDR2 Memory, PCI Express, memory RAID and other
I/O technologies.
In the first half of 2006, Intel says it will deliver a new
server platform, codenamed 'Bensley', comprising a
dual-core Intel Xeon processor, codenamed 'Dempsey', and a
chipset, codenamed 'Blackford'. The company also says it
will produce dual-core Intel Xeon processors designed for
systems requiring low power consumption such as blade
servers.
The Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 2.80 GHz is available for
$1,043 based on 1,000-unit quantities. Pricing for the
forthcoming dual-core server processors will be provided
within the next 60 days.

In The News - Nations squabble over internet management

Delegates at a meeting in Geneva on Monday failed to reach
an agreement on who should control the internet's addressing
system. The meeting, which is being held in preparation of
the World Summit on the Information Society in Tunis next
month, degenerated into a farce when delegates argued over
the right of the US to control the internet's addressing
system.
Countries of the world lined up either for or against the US
retaining control over the management of the net, which is
currently the responsibility of ICANN under the authority
of the US Department of Commerce. Standing firmly against
the US is the European Union, which is joined by countries
such as Russia, Iran and China.
For its part, the EU is supporting countries like Iran,
which said that it was concerned that the US could
effectively cut it off from the internet if it chose to at
any time. The EU has called for internet governance to be
handed over to the UN's International Telecommunications
Union.

Article - To MLM or not to MLM?

I was posed a question the other day about MLMs, why it
leaves a bad taste in some peoples mouth, the term MLM
even triggers spam filters.
Some programs even advertise "This is not MLM" as though
that is a plus for it. Is MLM really bad?
And it got me to thinking.....
To MLM or not to MLM?
That is a very good question with a lot of opinions from
many sides.....
Here is mine.
Yes there are many MLM companies that pushed big dreams and
fell by the wayside leaving a bad taste in some peoples
mouths. Where massive amounts were made by company and
upline on the sales of.....
not products, but MARKETING MATERIALS!
But can that not be said of other pay structures as well?
And many people put their hopes and dreams into a MLM
company, only to see them squashed.
But can that not be said of other pay structures as well?
And, true, there is attrition in the lower ranks of MLM
structured companies, does this make MLM a bad marketing
concept?
I must say very strongly NO!
If you look at any online program you will find a high
attrition rate,
Why?
Sadly, probably about 90% of online marketers will "try" a
program for a couple or few weeks, if they are not seeing
big rewards, they move on to the next "hot program".
So
just by default you are going to have attrition. MLMers
shouldn't let that discourage them, but it does. Many good
marketers give up because so many of there downline drop
out, leaving them feeling as though their hard work is
for nothing.
But it IS to be expected with any type of marketing system.
Is that a negative on MLM? Or is that just a reflection to how
life really is? One of the natural laws of online marketing that
you will encounter, and should expect, IF you actually market
anything....
One thing a good MLM does do, IF you want to become successful,
is promote TEAMWORK. Which teamwork is a good concept even if
you aren't doing MLM. Many affiliate programs are "multi-tiered"
systems. Never have figured out the true difference between
multi-tiered and MLM..... But any one that is in your downline
that you earn a commission on deserves your help and support!
After all, the more successful THEY are the more successful
YOU will be.
A good MLM is structured to encourage this team building
knowing that the company will benefit with a marketing force
of strong teams supporting it.
A good marketer will be willing to help, even if the person
they offer help to isn't in their downline, even if that
person isn't in the company they are promoting!
In my opinion MLM is the best marketing system when it is
coupled with a solid product or service, a good pay structure,
and is backed by an honest and straightforward company. And
though a "newbie" may not be as successful as someone with
years of experience, if they are in an organization that
"shares", they will get their training and will grow in
knowledge as well as growing their business.
As with any business online or off, to become successful in
MLM marketing will require dedication, work, perseverance,
and being approachable and helpful. You will have up days
and down days, as in any business. But in a good MLM
structured team you should also have a team full of support
above and below you to celebrate the good with and get support
through the bad.
It is a people business!

Spyware
Spyware is a program that is secretly placed on your computer and without your
knowledge or consent gathers information about your surfing habits, or even your
personal information and will send it to someone else. Here are the two I use, and
not only are they good, but they are free:

Adware
Adware is also a program that is secretly placed on your computer and without
your knowledge or consent. It's mission in life is to... you guessed it, put ads in
your face. Pop-ups that may be triggered by surfing to a competitors site, or for
no reason at all are usually from adware programs.Micro Soft's Anti-Spy program
is great at catching these as well. In addition I use another free program:

Guest Article - 5 Simple Steps to a Super Attitude

Lately I've been on a binge of reading leadership books,
and I have just finished "Today Matters" by John C.
Maxwell. In the book, he talks about the 12 daily
practices that anyone can adopt to guarantee success, and
the very first practice he discusses is choosing the right
attitude daily.
If you are not convinced why the right attitude is so
important, just find out how many athletes attribute their
success to their "winning attitude". Your attitude at the
beginning of a task affects its outcome more than anything
else. So, it is definitely beneficial for us to check our
own attitudes daily.
The great thing about this practice of choosing the right
attitude is that anybody can do it. It really doesn't
require any special skills or years of learning except
maybe total honesty. However, there are some tips that can
help you become better at it, and I am going to reveal the
process to you now.
1. Start noticing your attitude
Do you have habits that you are unconscious about? I know
women who play with their hair, or men who jiggle the
change in their pockets, and they are completely unaware
that they are doing it most of the time. Do you let your
attitude degrade and assume the whiner or victim mentality,
like a bad habit, without even noticing? If that is the
case, you need to start noticing now.
Check your attitude about a task, a person, or a situation.
How do you feel about the situation? What are your
actions saying about your attitude? Do this every day, or
even multiple times a day when circumstances change, or
your mood changes, or you feel particularly challenged
about something in your day.
2. Check the impact of your attitude
Once you've noticed what attitude you have, now you have to
decide if it is the right attitude to have. The
determining factor is the result or outcome you want and
the impact your attitude has on your ability to achieve
that outcome.
Does your attitude:
. Help you stay motivated?
. Improve your confidence?
. Help you believe in yourself?
. Reduce your stress?
. Make you feel more in control?
. Keep you focused?
. Get you excited?
. Make you feel grateful?
If you can answer "yes" to many of these questions, then
you have the right attitude. If the answers are "no", then
make up your mind to change your attitude immediately.
There may be other questions you can ask that is more
relevant to your situation. I trust you get the general
idea of how to decide if you have the right attitude.
3. Choose another attitude
Now that you have noticed your sorry attitude, and
determined that it is indeed a sorry attitude to have, you
need to drop it like a hot potato and pick another one. It
is really that simple. You just have to make up your mind
that you are choosing to change your attitude and do it.
Just because I said that it is simple does not mean that it
is easy. In order to change your attitude, we may have to
change your belief system, and many of our beliefs are tied
into our words.
4. Change your vocabulary
In order to have a more powerful and helpful attitude, stop
using these words:
"Can't" - people use can't when they either don't know how
to do something, or they don't want to. If you don't know
how, you can find out and learn. If you don't want to,
then you need to admit that you don't want to. Stop saying
"I can't" and start believing "I can."
"Try" - as Yoda said: "Do, or not do, there is no try."
And wise creature that he is, he is absolutely right.
There is no state of trying. You are either doing
something, or you are not. When you use "try", there is an
implied possibility of failure, and you are accepting it.
So, delete "try" from your vocabulary, and just do your
best.
There are many other "weasel" words that we use often.
Start paying attention to your own speech pattern and
eliminate them from your vocabulary. It will help your
attitude.
5. Practice, Practice, Practice
Now all that's left is for you to take this knowledge and
put it into use. Start small; pick one thing you want to
change your attitude about and just do it. Check out the
results after you made the change, then move on to the next
thing.
Don't expect to transform yourself overnight. It takes 21
days to form a new habit, and this is definitely a new
habit you want to keep. So, start today, and stay with it
until you start noticing that other people are hanging
around you. You see, attitudes are contagious, and if you
always have a super attitude, people really like being
around you because they want some of what you have to rub
off on them!

Market testing is the key to increasing the effectiveness
of your advertising campaign. If you're like me, just the
word testing makes your shoulders slump and a groan escape
your lips. Hey, it's really not that bad... especially when

Think about it... how much profit is your advertising
campaign producing? Which marketing material is providing
the greatest revenue? If you don't know the answer to these
questions, you're gambling with your advertising money!

Wouldn't it be great to be in total control of your

offer is going to net a 20% increase in sales feels great.
The key to being in command of your financial future is
effective and continual testing.
Break down your marketing products, and choose one of these
aspects to experiment with:
. The offer
. Advertisment Copy
. Web page Design
. Sales Letter Wording
. Advertising Mediums
. Mailing Lists
. Product Guarantees
. Combination Offers
A word of caution: test only one aspect at a time if you
want to be sure what is causing the success or failure of
the ad.
Tracking each variation and the results it produces will
increase your market knowledge. Incorporate your new
knowledge into your marketins strategy, and then go one to
test another aspect listed above.
I like to make a start by simply changing the headline on
my Websites or sales letter before making any changes to
the body of content. It's amazing to discover the powerful
impact a headline has on the consumer. You'll also get a
better idea of how to change the main content when you know
what attract the reader's initial interest!
Okay, for those of you who don't have the time to invest in
constant testing... here's a rule of that will still get
you a higher profit margin without stealing your valuable
time. It's the 80/20 principal. Keep 80 percent of your
advertising in its current form, but take 20 percent of
your advertising budget and dedicate to experimenting with
advertising methods. Hey, it's not the most profitable, but
you're still sure to see an increase in sales and gain
valuable market savvy in the process.
